Vizio P Series 4K Ultra HDTV’s – Now Available

Vizio’s long awaited P Series has finally arrived. I have gathered info on five of the six models (with five screen sizes) currently available through Amazon.com, which include the 70″ P702ui-B3, P652ui-B2, 60″ P602ui-B3, 55″ P552ui-B2 and 50″ P502ui-B1.

From the specs listed below these models look very promising. And I certainly hope these new 4K displays will deliver on picture performance.

One of the key features of these new displays is the full array backlighting with local dimming and up to 72 active LED zones. This should add to the sets 4K performance giving it increased black level capability and better picture contrast.

Also, the pricing of the P Series is much cheaper than similar models from Samsung and LG, which will certainly attract many consumers looking to get into the 4k Ultra HD arena.

I will be reviewing one of these models in the near feature. So say tuned.

Update: See my review of the P652ui-B2 here.
