See the latest offerings from this budget brand manufacturer that delivers big on performance and features

Over the past couple of years, Hisense has been making big strides in the performance area, especially with its higher-end models such as the H9 Series and H8 Series. The brand has also become one of the fastest-growing Top 10 TV manufacturers in America in units and sales.

For 2020, Hisense will be updating its lineup with new features and better overall performance. So here’s what Hisense is offering this year.

L5 Series Laser TV Projector

Hisense L5 Laser Projctor TV

L5 Laser TV

This series is unique among Hisesnes’ lineup since it is a front projection system that consists of a short-throw projector that projects an image on a suppled 100” screen. Hisense claims it can reproduce more than 95% of the DCI-P3 color space, which should mean excellent HDR performance. The L5 has a substantial price of admission and will run you $5,999.00. The L5 should be available now.

XD9G Series 4K HDR ULED TVs

Hisense XD9G

XD9G

The XD9G (XD stands for extreme detail) contains Hisense’s Dual Cell panel technology, which merges separate 2K and 4K panels together. The 2K monochrome display acts as a sort of dynamic masking layer over a backlight with dimmable zones, potentially offering various enhancements to backlight and contrast control.

Hisense claims it will deliver OLED like picture quality, challenging OLED’s extreme contrast and black level abilities but at a much cheaper price point.

The XD9G will be available in a 65” screen size and is scheduled for a third-quarter US release.

  • Hey, i just want to tell you that it is a very informative article that helped me to enhance my knowledge about H9 Series but i have only one confusion which is about Hi-View Engine Processor.
can you please elaborate this article kindly.

    • Hi John,
Thanks for reading this article and I’m glad it helped to enhance your knowledge.

The Hi-View Engine Processor uses a series of AI-based picture quality algorithms to enhance the viewing experience with automatic recognition of how to improve color, contrast, motion, and brightness.

      Thanks for your input.

  • Hi,can you follow up on the release date of the H9G series ? I was previously told the 55 inch would be out on May 25th and the 65 inch on June 15th . Still waiting.
    Thx,Steph

    • Hi Stephanie,

The original release date of the 55″ H9G was most likely pushed out to a later date due to the virus outbreak. I don’t know of any confirmed release date for the H9G series. I do know it is available for preorder on Amazon, which means the H9G will be released very soon. I will update this article when a release date is confirmed.

    • Hi Vernon,

I have not done a review on the Hisense H8G at this time. So I personally can’t say how good it is. However, the H8G has received very good customer reviews at Best Buy.com. The H9 Series is a step up from the H8 Series.

  • Hello .
I just purchased the Hisense-75″ Class-H8G Quantum Series-4K UHD TV from BestBuy.com and according to the customer responses I just read at BestBuy.com regarding this Hisense TV it is supposed to have 8GB of internal memory storage .
Is this true and accurate ?
If this is true, can the 8GB of internal storage inside the Hisense – 75″ Class – H8G Quantum Series – 4K UHD TV be upgraded to 16GB or larger, or is it non expandible ?

Kindly respond back and let me know either way .

Thank you for your time .
    Mr. James Evans
    Clovis California USA .

    • Hi James,

I don’t have any other knowledge of the internal memory storage within the H8G other than what you found on Best Buy’s website. However, the memory is most likely not designed to be expanded or removed and is probably soldered in place, which is common with TVs. And even if the memory was able to be removed, the electronic design of the TV (CPU etc.) may not support a larger RAM size.

      Regards,
      Milton

I thought that including the entire Email from them would possibly help others who come here to this website with questions about my Hisense-75″ Class-H8G Quantum Series-4K UHD TV, and the other Hisense TV Models which they have or are considering buying .

Since they didn’t explain to which GB USB size memory stick it will read and work with, so I may write them again and ask that question, but I promised that I would come back here to this venue and let you know what they would tell me if they wrote me back which I just did .

My New Hisense-75″ Class-H8G Quantum Series-4K UHD TV was delivered by The Best Buy Geek Squad yesterday at 12 noon California Time, wherein they unboxed it for me, and installed the Chicken Legs Stands and made sure it was Fully Functional and working properly and this Le Monsture’ is Huge and it took me around 12 minutes to set it up and get it working and it is Amazing with Beautiful Bright Colors, and I am really enjoying it so far. 🙂

I will come here again if I contact Hisense.com with any answers I get back from them regarding what size GB USB memory stick it will allow and work with ?

BTW: Because I was not happy with the look of the chicken legs of the Hisense 75″ H8G Quantum Series UHG TV I I purchased the Echogear Universal TV Stand – Height Adjustable Base For TVs Up to 77″ Model #: EGAV-RTVF1 from Amazon which arrived here Monday which 1 of my friends installed on this Huge Hisense 75″ H8G Quantum Series-4K UHG TV for me after the 2 Geek Squad delivery guys left which raises this Huge TV up off the rug here . 🙂

The Echogear Universal TV Stand – Height Adjustable Base For TVs Up to 77″ Model #: EGAV-RTVF1 is rated to hold Hisense Big Screen TV’s up to 77″ and up to 100lbs .

I thought that this information may be helpful to both you and anyone else who comes here looking for answers to their Hisense TV questions .

  • Hi again Milton,
Just wanted to let you and your readers know we just set up our Hisense 65H9G.We ordered from Amazon Wednesday and received today(Friday). If you can give us a few tips on picture settings let us know.
    Thx Steph

    • Hi Stephanie,

Congrats on your new Hisense 65H9G.
Since I have not reviewed an H9 Series model, nor are there any reviews available yet online for the H9G, it means I don’t know of any calibration (picture) settings for the H9G. However, since the picture mode settings menu may, or should be similar to last year’s Hisense H9F (you can confirm this once inside the H9G picture menu), you can use the settings from Rtings.com review of the H9F as a base guideline to adjust your H9G picture setting (do not apply the “White Balance” settings that are listed).

That being said, if you choose to apply the settings from Rtings.com and don’t like the initial results, you can always tweak them to your liking, or even do a picture reset to take the TV back to its original settings.

Hope this helps and enjoy your new Hisense H9G.

      Regards,
      Milton
