Z95B Offers Better Performance Than the Z95A
In 2024 Panasonic reintroduced its TVs to the US market with three new TVs, the Z95A and Z85A OLED displays and the W95A mini-LED TV. The Z95A was well received in the US by reviewers and consumers alike.
Fast forward – At this year’s CES show, Panasonic unveiled its 2025 flagship OLED TV, the Z95B series, available in 55″, 65″, and 77″ sizes. This model discontinues the MLA display technology used on the previous Z95A and introduces a Primary RGB Tandem Panel. This four-layer emission structure enhances light efficiency by 40%, increasing brightness and a broader color spectrum. The integration of Panasonic’s ThermalFlow cooling system further optimizes performance by efficiently managing heat dissipation.
Audio advancements include a redesigned 360-degree sound system featuring a new line array, side, and up-firing speakers. These components have been repositioned and optimized to deliver a more immersive, theater-like audio experience, complemented by enhanced spatial audio processing.
The Z95B series also supports advanced gaming features, including AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility, a 144Hz refresh rate, and low latency, catering to gaming enthusiasts. Additionally, with Fire TV built-in and voice control, users benefit from Alexa integration and a personalized home screen that consolidates streaming services, apps, live channels, and tailored recommendations.
The TV’s design boasts a full-flat aesthetic with premium fabrics, ensuring it complements various home interiors. Features like detachable terminal covers, swivel options, and reduced wall-mount depth contribute to its minimalist appeal.
The Z95B series is powered by the HCX Pro AI Processor MK II processor supported by a 4K Remaster Engine that enhances streaming picture clarity. By leveraging AI and mathematical models, it delivers crisp, natural images with exceptional noise reduction for a superior viewing experience. Gradation has also been improved to reduce banding.
The Z95B series features Dolby Vision IQ with Precision Detail, a cutting-edge technology that enhances Dolby Vision content by optimizing contrast in both bright and dark areas. This results in richer textures, greater depth, and remarkably sharp visuals. Working alongside built-in ambient light sensors, the TV dynamically adjusts brightness based on room lighting conditions, ensuring every detail remains visible—even in the darkest scenes. Additionally, the HCX Pro AI Processor MK II supports Dolby Vision at refresh rates up to 144Hz, delivering a smooth and immersive viewing experience.
For improved picture accuracy, the Z95B features Prime Video Calibrated Mode together with the return of Calman calibration and ISFccc support.
With these innovations, Panasonic aims to deliver an unparalleled viewing and listening experience, solidifying its position at the forefront of home entertainment technology.
The pricing and release date for the Z95B series has not yet been announced. However, considering the Z95A launched in September of 2024, a similar fall release is likely. Based on the previous model, the 65-inch version is expected to be priced around $3,500.
Stay tuned for updates.
