A Quick Look at Sony’s 65” XBR65A1E 120Hz Smart OLED TV
Sony entered the OLED TV market this year with its excellent performing OLED Bravia A1E series. Sony now joins LG as the second major manufacturer that provides OLED TVs here in the US. The AE1 series is also available in 55” and 77” screen sizes.

65” OLED65E7P 120Hz Smart TV
I usually do at least one OLED TV review every year. These past models have all been from LG which has been the primary manufacturer of this very impressive technology, and has been heavily pushing OLED TVs for the past several years. So it should be as no surprise this OLED TV review is an LG model.
Sony has recently jumped into the OLED market and is now offering the excellent performing OLED Bravia A1E Series as part of their 2017 lineup.
55” 55SJ8500 Super UHD 120Hz Smart LED TV
LG’s SJ8500 is part of their premium 4K LED TV lineup and offers very good picture quality whether it is displaying 4K, HDR or 1080p images, however this is also dependent on the viewing environments lighting conditions… more on this in the performance section below. Additionally, LG’s excellent and latest webOS 3.5 smart TV on-screen menu system provides smooth and easy interaction with the SJ8500’s smart TV features.
65″ QN65Q7F & QN657C 120Hz Smart LED TVs
Samsung’s Q7 series features the entry level models of their current premium lineup of which Samsung refers to as QLED quantum dot 4K Ultra HD TV displays. Samsung claims this latest technology is an improve over last year’s quantum dot tech used in their former SUHD TVs.
65″ MU8000 120Hz Smart LED TV
Samsung’s UN65MU8000 is part of the companies mid-tier line of televisions for 2017. The MU8000 is classified as a premium model, and replaces last year’s premium SUHD KS8000 model. However, the MU8000 is not in the SUHD class which was last year’s top-tier lineup, and has been replaced with the new QLED displays.
65″ X930E 120Hz Smart LED TV
Sony’s new XBR930E offers improvements over last year’s excellent XBR930D with better video processing control and redesigned edge-lit backlight illumination, in addition to higher peak brightness for better HDR performance.
The X930E series is available in 55″ and 65″ screen sizes.
65″ X900E 120Hz Smart LED TV
The 2017 television models are beginning to hit big box stores and online retailers. And what better way to kick off my 2017 review season than with Sony’s new 65″ XBR900E… and as a prelude to the performance section of this review, I will reveal to you that this TV’s picture quality did not disappoint. More on this later.
55″ UN55KU6270 & 60″ UN60KU6270 60Hz HDR Smart LED TV – Product Profile
Samsung recently released a new 6 Series model just in time for the holiday season. The new model (as noted above) is available in two screen sizes and contains the latest technology features which include 4K resolution and HDR (High dynamic Range) capability, in addition to a very good smart TV platform powered by a Tizen operating system.
