65″ KS8500 Curved SUHD 120Hz Smart LED TV
I recently did a hands on evaluation of the Samsung 55″ UN55KS8000 and the 65″ UN65KS8500 (this review). Both of these models are part of Samsung’s 8 Series for 2016. Furthermore, both of these models are technically identical. The only true difference is in their respective physical designs – the KS8500 has a curved screen – the KS8000 has a flat screen.

SUHD HDR 120Hz Smart LED TVs
Samsung’s KS8000 is the entry level series of their latest SUHD premium 4K UHD lineup. This new 8 Series is currently available in 49″, 55″, 60″ and 65″ screen sizes. In this review I evaluated the 55″ model; however, this review can be applied to the other models as well since their only difference is screen size.
65″ P Series HDR 120Hz SmartCast LED Display
When Vizio’s first generation of P Series televisions hit the market in late 2014, they were met with mixed reviews from consumers, enthusiast and industry experts alike. These TVs generated reports from users of picture quality and functionality issues (see review of P652ui-B2 here for more info). However, Vizio did work to correct many of the issues via firmware updates.

65″ X850D 120Hz Smart LED TV
The XBR850D is Sony’s entry level series in their current premium lineup. It is available in 55″, 65″, 75″ and 85″ screen sizes.
When compared to last year’s popular X850C, it does offer an improvement in screen brightness, but it also falls a bit short in a few crucial areas of performance when compared to its previous counterpart. Read on to learn more.
65″ X930D 120Hz Smart LED TV
Sony’s latest lineup of premium XBR displays is heavily focused on HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology for its substantial increase in picture quality when compared to standard dynamic range TVs. HDR brings a whole new visual experience to television viewing in the comfort of your own home in the form of increased contrast with a greater range of peak brightness (highlights) and black levels, in addition to a wider color gamut for a rich and vibrant color spectrum, as well as better picture detail.
Vizio introduced the original P Series back in 2014 which became very popular among consumers… fast forward to 2016 where this series has been reintroduced with a new design and improved features and performance.
Panasonic recently unveiled its new 4K Pro DX Series LED TVs. Leading this lineup is the flagship DX902. This high-end display is slated to produce stunning picture images due in part to its new honeycomb-structure local dimming technology which will allow the DX902 to deliver both bright highlights and deep blacks.
The new 4K SUHD Ultra HD Premium Certified displays offer enhanced performance and features.
Samsung kicks off the new year with an exciting new lineup of 4K SUHD TVs. These latest SUHD TVs will initially consist of the 9 Series and 8 Series which include the KS9800, KS9500, KS9000, KS8500, KS8000, KS850D and KS800D, with screen sizes ranging from 49 to 78-inches.
