The first smart TVs made by Roku
Roku is well known for its streaming OS platform which is built into several TV brands including TCL, Hisense, and many more. I personally use Roku’s streaming platform on a daily via its Streaming Stick 4K device. Roku’s OS is one of my favorites and offers an endless amount of streaming options.
After many years of being one of the most popular streaming platforms, Roku is taking the leap into producing its own line of smart TVs designed and built by the company. Their brand name lineup will consist of the Roku Select and Plus Series TVs. These new models will be available in screen sizes from 24” to 75”.
According to Roku: these new TVs will focus on the features that streamers have come to love, including access to free live TV, news, and sports, plus fan-favorite features like Find My Remote and Private Listening. All Select Series TVs include the Roku Voice Remote with push-to-talk controls, and all Plus Series TVs include the Roku Voice Remote Pro featuring hands-free voice commands.
The Roku Select and Plus Series TVs will be available in the U.S. beginning in spring 2023 with retail prices ranging from $119 to $999 for HD and 4K models.
