An HDTVs and More Product Profile
The 4K UHD Blu-ray disc player family will soon be growing by one. I know that’s not a huge number, but in the current 4K Blu-ray player market, which is very limited at this time with only a handful of available machines here in the U.S., one more player makes a significant impact in a product category that is in its infancy stage.

Sony Adds Five 4K HDR UHD Displays to Their Premium XBR Lineup
By now many of you have probably heard of Sony’s latest 4K Ultra HD TVs that were released this past summer. These new models were added to their current 2016 lineup, and are less expensive alternatives for anyone seeking one of Sony’s premium XBR televisions.
Sony has just launched its finest televisions ever. And according to Sony, these next-generation technology displays will take your TV viewing experience to a whole new level, and deliver the ultimate in 4K HDR Ultra HD picture quality.
*Update: This excellent performing TV is still in production as a 2017 model (XBR75X940E) that included some feature updates:
- New processor – 4K HDR X1 Extreme and HDR remaster
- X-tended Dynamic Range Pro 10x

There has also been a major price drop, and now this 75″ TV can be had for $2,499.90. The original price was $4,499.99. Grab one while they’re still available from Amazon.com
X850D 120Hz Smart LED TV
The XBR850D is Sony’s entry-level series in their current premium lineup. It is available in 55″, 65″, 75″ and 85″ screen sizes.
When compared to last year’s popular X850C, it does offer an improvement in screen brightness, but it also falls a bit short in a few crucial areas of performance when compared to its previous counterpart. Read on to learn more.
X930D 120Hz Smart LED TV
Sony’s latest lineup of premium XBR displays is heavily focused on HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology for its substantial increase in picture quality when compared to standard dynamic range TVs. HDR brings a whole new visual experience to television viewing in the comfort of your own home in the form of increased contrast with a greater range of peak brightness (highlights) and black levels, in addition to a wider color gamut for a rich and vibrant color spectrum, as well as better picture detail.

XBR810C 120Hz Smart LED TV
Sony’s XBR premium series of 4K UHD TVs typically offers better performance and features when compared to their standard line of televisions. The XBR Series has a wide range of pricing, including what I consider three budget-friendly models which consist of the: XBR830C, XBR800B and the newly released XBR810C.
