TCL US5800 Review – Roku 4K Ultra HD TV
55US5800, 65US5800 60Hz Smart LED TV
This post is what I call a companion review – meaning that it relates or coincides with a previous model I recently reviewed which was the TCL UP130. Since the UP130 and US5800 have the same performance characteristics and specs, I will refer you to the UP130 review for a clear insight on what to expect from the US5800’s features and performance, instead of repeating it all here.

I will still give separate rating, summary and specs information on the US5800 for reference purposes.
The US5800 is part of TCL’s current S-series lineup and is available in 55″ and 65″ screen sizes. The UP130, on the other hand, resides within TCL’s P-series. And as I mentioned above, the models should have identical performance. What sets these two displays apart appearance wise are some slight styling differences, namely the shape and color of the feet (stand), and the lack of the chrome bezel/trim accents which are absent on the US5800.
The key difference among these TVs, however, are the remote controls. The UP130 is supplied with an Enhanced Roku remote with voice search and lost Remote Finder capabilities. You also get a pair of headphones which attach to the remote for private listening. Were as the US5800 contains a basic remote and lacks the enhanced features.
Final thoughts – if having a better remote is not a concern to you, then I recommend you save yourself some cash and go with the less expensive US5800.
