Featuring the all-new M-Series Quantum X and Quantum 6 models
Vizio is a popular brand name among consumers and typically offers great value and performance within their TV and soundbar lineups at budget pricing.
Vizio recently announced its 2023 lineup which contains all new models for their M-Series, V-Series, and D-Series. However, their top high-end P-Series models are not receiving a make-over at this time and will continue to be sold for the remainder of 2022. This also applies to their OLED TVs as well.
Vizio’s M-Series is the company’s most popular line of displays and offers the most bang for your buck among all of their series models. And for that reason, Vizio has chosen to highlight and focus on the M-Series for 2023. The M-Series will now offer certain features that were once only found in the P-Series.
The following info in italics is from Vizio’s press release on 7/19/2022

When paired with one of our soundbars, we can give audiences the look and sound of the ultimate home entertainment at a truly outstanding value.”

The update is TERRIBLE. it ruined our tv. It hijacked our antenna connection and we can longer change picture aspect to full screen as the options are locked out on the stupid free tv app. They also REMOVED the channel guide so now you have to flip through every channel to see what is on.
Even after a factory reset the tv updates then hijacks the tv again. There is NO way at this time to prevent their app from screwing up your tv.
I have talked to their tech support and they are aware of this SERIOUS flaw in the update and do NOT plan to fix it.
I cant and will NOT recommend their TV’s with these serious bugs that make using the TV on antenna impossible.
If you want a tv with changing video aspect on antenna and also have a channel guide then these TV’s are NOT for you.
I myself will be buying a Samsung ASAP to replace these TV’s in my home.
Sad the company doesn’t care about their customers anymore because their TV’s were perfect before this last blundered update.
Do yourselves a favor and get another brand.
